seventh day.

  • Today was my seventh day of high school.
Jeez, it's only been that long?

    WAIT A SECOND.
    I haven't wrote in a while..
Let me tell you what I did for the rest of the summer.
I mean you as in whoever's reading this (is anyone? don't think so).
The highlight of that last bit of summer was that it was my birthday and one of the things I it as a gift was a Nikon D60 SLR camera!
    exciting.
Now I'm using the money I was saving for a new guitar. :D
    but, ANYWAYS...

When some people first come into a new place they sometimes feel lonely. They sometimes feel awkward and well, scared.
I understand why people feel like that, so here's my advice.

I just entered grade nine last Tuesday. :O, now you know how old I am... yep, I'm 14.
At first I was nervous. But the first thing I saw when I walked to my first class was how everyone was standing separated by themselves and it just look very... well, niner-ish.
Of course me, being the weirdo that I am said hi to absolutely everybody in my class. And with the people that seemed completely alone were the people I was even more extra towards..

In every different place you're in, and you know you have to get used to it because you're going to be there for awhile just learn to love it.
DON'T BE AFRAID TO SAY HI.
DON'T EVER THINK YOU'RE NOT GOOD ENOUGH FOR ANYONE.
And last but certainly not least..
BE CONFIDENT (and don't forget to look like it too!).
If you look like you know what you're doing and look confident in yourself, people WILL notice.

But I guess I should also say, it doesn't matter if not everybody likes you because YOU WILL ATTRACT the people that should be in your life.

Keep your head up, stay real, stay positive and STAY YOU.

    xox, Savannah.

Hey you.

Hey you.
That kid in the window.
Have you always been there?

Did you ever come outside?
Did you live here this whole time?
Seven years you say?
I've lived here for eight.
You don't have many friends?
You're hungry, but you just ate?

You think you're different?
You're parents aren't home?
You never know where they are?
You feel like you're buried in a hole?

You've never talked like this?
You've never had a friend?
I live just next door.
Don't think this is the end.

You have your whole life to live.
You have years of questions unanswered.
Just get outside and play.
Be social, live life.
This is a new day.

For All Of You Who Have Your Doubts.

dedicated to my dear friend, Allan (DoormatMan).

A few days ago I went to a concert (Honda Civic Tour 08: Panic At The Disco) and it ran late and blah blah blah.... anyways... I ended up grounded with a really really pissed off mom.

My friend couldn't get home because the busses weren't running and my mom was mad because she had a client at 6.00 in the morning so my friend slept over.
The next day my alarm clock was set wrong so I woke up late. My mom walked in my room yelling at me to get to school on time... My friend and I were about to leave to catch the bus then her mom called and she drove me to school and took my friend home to shower and stuff.

Anyways... I didn't have time to grab a lunch and my mom (being the weird human roller coaster that she is) had a feeling I didn't get a lunch and showed up at my school to pick me up for lunch..

We got to SUBWAY and while we were eating I started talking about what I wanted to do when I finished school... as a career.

I was saying that If I didn't become a musician or something I had no back-up plan. I was saying that I know it's really hard to make it in the music biz but you can get lucky and have it really easily. I was saying that we don't have alot of money so it's not like I have the equipment or the money to record my music. My mom was telling me what she new about recording music and told me about her producer friends that may be able to add a bit more to my knowledge of the music business.
The next morning, while I was getting ready for school she called me on the phone and told me that she thought about what I was saying at Subway. She said that I shouldn't have to have a back up plan because If I believe in something and want to do it that much I should just go for it. She said that I am LIMITED BY MY OWN BELIEFS and it's my fear that is holding me back from making my dreams reality.

People may think they are perfectly fine working a 9-5 job but is it really because you were scared to do what you actually wanted to do?
Were you really born to be a Yellow Pages sales representative?
I didn't think so.
You may make good money but the guy who writes your check is the real smart one. The one who has it made and thought of the actual smart idea of paying people to work for him.
You can have anything you want in life.
You may not want to work hard but just think about the reward of your actions.
Better than what you do now, isn't it?
It's never too late.

What you believe, you can achieve.

I am new here.

I made (started) this [blog] because I think I have alot to share in my life.
And to help myself out when i don't know what to do with myself.
You do learn something new everyday (even if you don't notice it) and the valuable information you gather should be shared with others, so they too can learn something new.

I will start with a next post summarizing the things I remember from the past few days/weeks that I think is worth sharing.

Remember: SHARING IS CARING!

The picture is pretty darn good for a phone photo, EH? (yes, I am Canadian.)
